Comment *Hey! So I have this tibetan quartz that has an interesting inclusion. It's really only visible in bright light/direct sunlight, but I think it makes it all the more interesting. It's giving light-being vibes or something. I got it 2 years ago as a birthday gift from my sister. I was only able to attach one picture but I can send more later!

Hi Lucinda, I have read somewhere that if you surround a lab grown quartz crystal with natural ones, the lab grown one can start to take on natural properties and come alive – it would be worth a try! Good luck and best wishes to you!

Thank you so much for your reply and yes, I am very disappointed to find out that they are altered in the ways that you've stated. I would like to ask you a favor and look at, make the same comments and circles on the photos for the exact items that I purchased so that I have a fighting chance at getting a refund and report them as frauds/fakes/altered/unauthentic items. I need it for each item as each one is different but as you said they are all altered in some fashion. I would greatly appreciate you assisting me in this way. Than I also have a couple of questions for you as well. First, how do I subscribe to your page or get on your email list? Second, in the event that I do not win my battle in returning these items for a full refund; are any of them of any use in what would have been their natural healing properties or are they now of no use in that capacity & now just pretty nick nacks that sit on someone's shelf? Would they retain any of their original qualities if one would use it in a crystal grid or something of that sort? Again thank you so much for your assistance and care with me on this. I have looked at the photos and added them below with comments. I feel the likely best way to go about it is to email them saying their description was somewhat misleading using the word natural when it is actually dyed and you would like to be refunded. One issue may be the cost to you to ship them back to China. Most suppliers expect you to pay return shipping. Have a look at their conditions if they have any. If they are not cooperative, most ebay merchants are very sensitive to bad feedback on the ebay feedback rating system – that may give you some leverage if they decide not to do "the right thing".
In answer to your questions, you are currently able to subscribe to just the individual crystals comments page. I'm looking into a general notifier solution to notify people when we add a new crystal term or article to the site. I just need to find one that I will not be abused by spammers!
In answer to your other question – Yes, the crystals base properties are still very much active underneath the dye. It is a little bit like if I had been living in a cave and was looking rather pasty, then deciding to go to a store and buy a spray on tan – then coming out looking a ghastly orange!!! I would still be the same person underneath it all! Yes, those clusters would be very useful within crystal grids and so on. In this case I would also consider putting them in the sun and seeing if they fade with time. I strongly believe that they were originally white clear. (I do not recommend putting crystals such as Amethyst in the sun!, as they would fade too)
I made the decision not to go on Facebook as I want to dedicate all the free time I get to add information to this site, rather than post stuff on FB that is just destined to scroll into oblivion! I have spent more than 1000 hours making this site so far – I must get out more!

I'm trying to find out about a AAA+++ NATURAL GREEN CRYSTAL TIBETAN QUARTZ CRYSTAL CLUSTER HEALING 340g that I purchased on eBay. I'm not finding anything on this mineral/crystal that is green. Can you give me any further information on this or is it a fake?

Thank you for your question. I went to the auction page and retrieved a photo of the crystal you purchased to post below.
The Cluster you bought, in our strong opinion has been put through some sort of dyeing process. You can clearly see the color over laid where the crystal points have been snapped off. (See the circled areas in the photo below). If the crystal was truly that color via inclusions, you would see the layer of the inclusion and then the base color of the crystal itself, my guess would be that the natural color would be white/clear in this case.
Another thing I noted is the title of subsequent auctions of the same material – RARE!! NATURAL green CRYSTAL TIBETAN QUARTZ CRYSTAL CLUSTER HEALING. Notice how all the words are in bold except the word "green". It is almost as if they are saying this is a natural formation but the crystal is green!!! Misleading to say the least! (but may be their get out of jail card if a complaint is laid with Ebay).
I notice they sell similar looking material in different color shades. I have copied some photos to use in my next mis-named and fake crystals blog!

I found a beautiful crystal cluster that has green phantom inclusions on Etsy.com the shop is Crystal Cove Supplies. The title of the cluster is Tibetan green quartz with a citrine in the center. This looks to me to be a lab creation?? Would I be correct??
Hello Cecala, your post came through with the photo not showing, so I inserted something similar, just with different colors. I’m familiar with the crystals you mention, and yes theyu are lab grown.
